Check It Out! My Book and Music Recommendations

For the last eleven years and counting, I've sent out ministry updates (aka newsletters) to the amazing Revive ministry partners....and in those newsletters, I occasionally include a book and music recommendation. These recommendations have been well received over the years, so I thought to start sharing them with you! These are books and music albums that I've recently read/listened to that I feel are worth passing along.  So without further ado, here are my November 2018 book and music recommendations:

The Magnolia Story

The Magnolia Story - Chip & Joanna Gaines

If the word "Shiplap" means anything to you, you absolutely need to read this book! If that word doesn't ring a bell, you still need to read this book! The Gaines'  seemingly quick rise from small-town relevance to national admiration is the stuff of dreams, but the Gaines share how being led by the Holy Spirit has opened doors for them that they couldn't open for themselves. The Magnolia Story will really encourage you to hope again and to pursue the dreams that God has given you!

Jason Upton – A Table Full of Strangers v2

A Table Full of Strangers, Vol 2. - Jason Upton

Those who know me know that I love albums that usher you into the presence of God! While I wouldn't fully describe this as a worship album (or at least a live worship album), A Table Full of Strangers, Vol. 2 is one of those albums! Jason Upton carries something unique that when he worships, the atmosphere changes and you can tell that he's been in the secret place with the Lord. I dare you to listen to "Every Table is an Altar" (track 9) and not weep!

I hope you enjoy this book and album! If you get them, let me know what you think of them in the comments below!
